A Living Will is more properly called an “Advance Decision”. In the document you can confirm how you would prefer to be treated should you become seriously or terminally ill.

Although an Advance Decision may not be fully enforceable, many people consider making one at the same time as they make a Will or a Lasting Power of Attorney. It provides you with the opportunity to express your wishes over delicate matters of medical treatment, and can help your next of kin and health professionals to make difficult decisions on your behalf.
